Can I bring my own Personal Trainer to train me at your gym? Clarks policy is that there are no outside PT instructors at our centre. Our Personal Trainers are our staff and this ensures the best service for all clients

We do not have a joining fee. There are no additional charges for non-related services within your membership. What happens with my membership if I'm sick or away for an extended break? We can suspend your membership. Why pay for something your not using? Our clients love having access to this service. I've never been to a gym before, will someone be able to help me with starting? Our lifestyle program is personalised to suit the individuals goals and health profile. Lifestyle includes 3 initial sessions with a qualified trainer who will work with you to set up a simple, time efficient and achievable program. Based in a fully supervised area within the gym, you will have access to trained staff who can review and assist your program when your up and running.
The last gym I was at locked me into a contract with a high cancellation fee, do you do this? No contracts, no cancellation fees. EVER!!! I don't like doing weights because I don't want to be "Big and Muscley", what can you offer me? We listen to what you want. We tailor the programs to suit you, whether it be strength, weight loss, tone up, improve bodyshape etc. Resistance training will not make you "Big and Muscley" unless we design a program to achieve it - your goals, not ours!!!! I really need to lose weight, can you help me? We offer realistic results with all our programs. Losing weight takes commitment and we offer the personalised commitment you need to see your goals reached. Adding our weight loss personal training to your program is the surefire way to fasttrack your results. We can assist with dietary advice and provide access to a dietitian who works from the centre. Should I be fit and injury free before I start an exercise program? Our qualified trainers adapt programs to suit the individual and this incorporates fitness levels and any injuries or ailments.

We directly employ our personal trainers. We do not permit external trainers to "lease floor space" for services. That means we have control over the quality and standard of our staff. Professional development is mandatory and constantly reviewed. Our trainers have individual specialities in areas including Weight Loss, Rehabilitation, General Fitness, Sports Specific (including but not limited to - triathlons, running, boxing). Call the centre now and see if we have the trainer for your needs. Do you open on public holidays? We offer limited services on most public holidays and are usually open between 4pm to 6pm. I don't like pushy salespeople. Can I speak to someone who understands my needs? We do not employ salespeople at Clark's. Chances are that the person you first meet in reception could be your initial trainer. That means that the person who assists you with your membership enquiries understands the commitment required for you to reach your goals. The last gym I was at took weeks to repair my favourite equipment. Do you have your equipment serviced regularly? Our equipment is well maintained. All our floor staff are trained to provide maintenance to our equipment. For more complex issues, our close relationship with our principal supplier, Cybex, ensures that all equipment is attended to and repaired in a timely manner from when reported.
